Your Virtual Decorator
was developed to address the design needs of clients who may not have the funds to hire and work with a designer
face-to-face, but still need a design plan for one or more rooms in their home. Unsure as to whether this service
is right for you? - Do you live outside the
DC metro area, but desire Decor by Denise's design aesthetic?
- Do you have a very limited decorating budget, but feel overwhelmed and
cannot do it alone?
- Do you want to incorporate good design principals even though you may
mostly purchase via online and retail sources?
If you answered "yes" to
any of these questions, then Your Virtual Decorator is a good fit for you. How does it work? When you engage with us, we collect
several key pieces of information from you—measurements, photos, inspirations, style preference, budget, timeframe and
functional needs. With this information in hand we put together a plan per room/area purchased. We have two
levels of service to choose from.

Platinum Level: The platinum service
is targeted to those clients who have a larger budget (up to $25K per room), who have a longer lead time (up to 3 months) and
who desire more discriminating furnishings with some limited customization options. Sources for this level
of service include higher-end retailers like William Sonoma Home, Restoration Hardware and Gumps, as well as major furniture
manufacturers that one would see showcased in large furniture showrooms. These furniture vendors' products are
known for adhering to higher quality standards, many offer customization options including using your own fabric and most
offer designers trade discounts. Our platinum level service includes: - Design
Storyboard: A complete visual room design board that includes the space plan for the room, images
of color swatches and fabrics, as well as all key furniture pieces, rugs, lamps and artwork. A window treatment
design is also included in the plan.
- Space Plan: A 1/4"
scale space plan depicting all the key room elements and how they should be placed in the space—including casegoods
(tables, bookcases, etc.), upholstery items (sofas, chairs, ottomans, etc.), rugs, lamps, artwork focal points and televisions
(where appropriate). We also provide guidance on how large the TV should be in instances where a TV is included.
- Detailed Shopping List: A detailed worksheet that lists every item selected for
the room and where it can be purchased. Electronics are not included.
- Color
Swatches: Large individual swatches of each color (wall and accent colors) selected for the room are mailed
to you via standard mail.
- Fabric Swatches: For instances where
designer fabrics are selected for upholstery or window treatments, fabric swatches will be sent to you via standard
mail.
- Online Project Portfolio: We provide you with
your own personalized Online Project Portfolio. This green delivery approach ensures that you get your designs
as fast as possible, provides you continual online access for 30 days after initial delivery, and reduces your costs,
as well as ours—all while reducing the strain on the environment. We will provide you your own login
credentials so that you can view, download and/or print your design documents from your own personal Online Project Portfolio
as often as you like while your account is active. Design documents can also be mailed to you for a nominal shipping
fee.

Service: When you purchase major manufacturer brands and/or designer fabrics through Decor by Denise, you
will receive up to 20% off the retail price. This discount does not apply to online and retail vendors.

which can be used to purchase any one of our designer fabric lines.
- Membership Club: If
you envision doing a lot of projects in your home over the next year, we invite you to join our membership club. Our
membership club provides members savings off virtual design fees after three rooms/areas are purchased and provides additional
savings when a certain volume of purchases are made through Decor by Denise.

Design Inspiration: We automatically send you our monthly free eNewsletter to keep you abreast of
the latest and greatest in design, and upcoming promotions.
Gold
Level: The gold service is targeted to those clients who have a smaller budget (less than
$15K per room), have a shorter turn-around time (up to 2 months) and desire furnishings that are sold in major retailers
or online on the mass market. Stores like Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, CSN and the like fall into this category.
These vendors offer few, if any, customizable options and they do not offer any significant designer trade
discounts. Our gold level service includes: - Design Storyboard: A
complete visual room design board that includes the space plan for the room, images of color swatches and fabrics, as
well as all key furniture pieces, rugs, lamps and artwork. A window treatment design from ready made sources is
also included in the plan.
- Space Plan: A 1/4" scale

How much does it cost? Our
prices are based on the average time to complete a design for a standard room size. Contact us for pricing.
Do you have different styles and products
you work with? Yes, the style we work with is dependent on your style.
We work with traditional, transitional and contemporary design styles and can incorporate reuse of existing or inherited pieces
into the design plan. How do we get started? To initiate a Your
Virtual Decorator project, you first have to purchase the rooms you desire help with. Once we receive
your order, we will send you an account login to download instructions for taking photos, sending us inspirations, taking
measurements and filling out our detailed questionnaire to determine your style and budget. Two and a half to three
weeks after we receive the items we need, you will have your new design.
