Your e-Decorator was developed to address the design needs of clients who may not have the funds to hire and work with a designer face-to-face, but still need a design plan for one or more rooms in their home.  In addition, it helps us broaden our reach to a wider market whereby we are able to service clients who live outside the DC metro area who desire Decor by Denise's design aesthetic when reworking the interior of their home.FinalLogoeDecorator.JPG 
To determine whether this service is right for you, ask yourself the following:
  • Do you have a very limited decorating budget, but feel overwhelmed and cannot do it alone?
  • Do you want to incorporate good design principals even though you may mostly purchase via online and retail sources? 
  • Do you live outside the DC metro area, but desire Decor by Denise's design aesthetic?                
  • Are you comfortable taking detailed measurements and photos of your room(s), and sending them to us?                                  
  • Do you have a design dilemma where you just need a little expert advice to ease your mind and help you make the right choices?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then our Your e-Decorator service is a good fit for you. 

What Services Do You Offer?  We offer three types of Your e-Decorator services, which have been specifically tailored to the unique needs of our eDecorating clients, as follows: 

1.  Virtual Room Design.  Our most popular and comprehensive eDecorating service is our Virtual Room Design.  This is where we provide you a comprehensive design plan for one or more rooms in your home.  When you purchase this service, you will receive the following:

  • Design e-Storyboard:  A complete visual room design board that includes the space plan for the room, images of color swatches and fabrics, as well as key furniture pieces, rugs, lamps and artwork.  A window treatment design is also included in the plan. 
  • Space Plan:  A 1/4" scale space plan depicting all the key room elements and how they should be placed in the space, including casegoods (tables, bookcases, etc.), upholstery items (sofas, chairs, ottomans, etc.), rugs, lamps, artwork focal points and televisions (where appropriate).  We also provide guidance on how large the TV should be in instances where a TV is included. 
  • Detailed Shopping List:  A detailed worksheet that lists every item selected for the room and where it can be purchased.  Electronics are not included. 
  • Color Swatches:  Swatches of each color (wall and accent colors) selected for the room are included on the Electronic Design Storyboard
  • Follow-up Support:  For seven working days after your designs are delivered, we will provide you with follow-up support (via phone or email) to ensure that we answer any questions you may have and that your design if fully understood. 
  • Special Bonuses!
    • Discounts:  When you purchase major manufacturer brands and/or designer fabrics through us, you will receive up to 15% off the retail price.  This discount does not apply to online and retail vendor purchases.
    • Monthly Design Inspiration:  You are automatically enrolled in our monthly eNewsletter to keep you abreast of money saving decorating tips and tricks, as well as promotional sales and the latest interior design trends

  • Group A    Hallways, Entryways, Foyers: $495 per room*
  • Group B    Dining Rooms, Living Rooms, Bedrooms & Home Offices:  $595 per room* 
  • Group C    Large Combination Rooms (Great Rooms, Bedrooms with Sitting Rooms):  $695 per room*

*If you don't need a full blown design plan, we do offer the following ala carte services:

  • Color palette only pricing:   $125.  Includes wall and accent colors. 
  • Space plan only pricing:   $175.  Includes up to two layout options per room purchased.

2.  Design Lifeline.  Our second most popular virtual decorating service is our Design Lifeline.  Similar to the lifeline used in the popular show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire,"  this service was designed for those clients who need an expert to call to get them through a design "rough patch."  This service works best when we are called upon to solve a specific design problem.  For instance, when you just need some guidance as to which direction to go with color or which sofa style to select, this is the service for you.  When you purchase this service, our time to research, critique, review photos/plans and provide decorating guidance via email or phone is billed at $150 for the first hour and $75/hour for each additional hour.  Most questions can be resolved in the one hour timeframe. 

3.  Designer Buying ServiceOur final Your eDecorator service is our Designer Buying Service.  If you desire a "to the trade only" item for your home that you cannot purchase yourself, we will make that purchase and coordinate shipping on your behalf.  If you have found the item on your own that you want to purchase, you will just be charged the retail price of the item.  If you haven't selected an item, but know what you want and need, we will select up to two trade only options from which you will choose one to purchase.  Again, you will be charged the retail price of the item you select in addition to a nominal design fee of $75 to cover our time to find just the right items for you (for up to two items for purchase).  When you purchase an item through us, we manage the entire process from order placement to delivery.  And, if an issue should arise during the ordering process, we take care of it on your behalf.

How Do We Get Started?  To initiate a Your e-Decorator project, you first need to purchase the eDecorating service you desire.  Once we receive your request, we will send you instructions on which photos we need and how to take measurements of your room.  We will also send you the detailed questionnaire we require for each Your eDecorator project.  Once we receive all the items we need, we will be ready to either schedule your Design Lifeline call, begin work on your Virtual Room Design or initiate our search for the items you wish to buy as part of our Designer Buying Service.  Our Virtual Room Design process takes approximately 2-3 weeks per room to complete once we receive all your information.  The other Your e-Decorator services take less time to complete, usually 1 week, depending on our workload at the time of your request and the time of the year.
